Since 1996, the University of Natural Medicine, a not-for-profit 501(c)(3) institution, has been a leader in higher education in the field of Integrative and Natural Medicine. We offer online and distance learning programs individually designed and mentorship-focused Bachelor, Master and Doctorate Degree and Diploma Programs. Students participate in independent study, seminars, practical and clinical training and research with worldwide affiliate clinics and centers in over 15 Countries around the world.  
Diploma and certification programs offer the student the opportunity to learn various modalities while continuing to practice or completing their degree program. Specialized and advanced programs for doctors and health professionals (Medical, Chiropractic, Osteopathic, Acupuncture, Nurse, Psychology, Counselor, Massage Therapy, Physical Therapist and other practitioners) are also available.

Chris Irene, D.N.M.

Dr. Irene has been an instructor in the field of Biology for 20 years and has always had a passion for alternative medicine.  She is a certified Family Herbalist and the founder of Health Guide Series, a collection of brochures which combine the areas of nutrition and supplement strategies for her patients.  Dr. Irene feels that all aspects of the body need to be addressed (physically and psychologically) in order for an individual to attain maximum health.  In conjunction with that belief, she has been teaching Psychology as an adjunct professor at the University of Phoenix for the past 7 years.
